The Jedi Cat Sanctuary is in memory of Toffee and Monster.
When they first arrived, Monster was a two week old kitten and his mum Toffee was around one year old. This sanctuary would not have happened if it were not for them.
When I first recused them in 2008, from someone who could not look after them, I never knew what a magical journey it would be getting to spend all their lives with them. Monster was very unwell at two weeks old, he had already lost two of his siblings days prior to me rescuing him and his mum Toffee.
When I got Monster to the vet, the vet was unsure whether he would survive and then once he got over the threat of dying, the vet was unsure whether we could save his eye. He had very bad cat flu. But with a lot of work and persistence we managed to save his life and the eye, although he was left with scarring on the surface of the eye for the rest of his life.
Just several weeks after them being in my care, Jazzman then also joined us. The three of them then spent many years together as a family.
They were and always will be known as the three amigos and will always bet in my heart. (Jazzman is of course still with us in physical form and is the senior and boss of the sanctuary now).
Toffee passed away peacefully in July 2023 aged 16.
Monster passed away peacefully in June 2021 aged 12.
Here are some photos of them taken over the years. You will also see them pop up in other photo albums on this website.
