The Stray/Feral room.

Welcome to the stray/feral cat rescue room, converted from a garage attached to the main house.
The vast majority of these cats were trapped either by myself or other colleagues of mine in rescue.

Since this room has been active over the last 18 months, there has been around 30+ cats that have had short stays in there from a few days to a few weeks. It is a place where the cats cat be prior and after neutering until they can be moved onto a rescue space, a home, or put back to where they came from if it is safe to do so and if they have a shelter and guardian. Most of the cats went onto new homes and many of them through Waltham Forest Cats Protection who also paid for their neutering, microchip and vaccinations. So a big shout out for them helping with this and often supplying food and litter for the short stayers.

Here are some of the cats who have spent some time in the stray/feral room over the past 18 months. There is also a photo of Bonnie and Clyde who spent time in the previous place we lived at. I had to include them on the last photo just because..... <3

Trapping

As well as short term holding place, the rescue room also holds various vital form of equipment for trapping the cats and transporting. Here is some of the equipment used including a manual trap, automatic trap and remote controlled trap. (please note that the equipment is only as good as the person using it. I am an experienced trapper and have been active doing this for years).
