Kira

Kira was a teenager/kitten living in a heap of rubbish on someones driveway local to me when I spotted her. She was  friendly, but a little nervous, despite living like this and she wasn't doing too well, she seemed lethargic. I scooped her up and put in the back of my car then drove her home. The plan was to  rehome her, but her new home eventually fell through, so she stayed.
After Neegy, Raisin and Sultana's mum was rehomed, Kira kind of became their foster mother, even though she was only several months older than them. Neegy especially took a shine to her and to this day today he is still obsessed with her and will cry out for her often if she's not in the same room.

Around 6 months after Kira staying, she developed heart failure due to a super super rare condition. The specialist cardiologist vet at one of the best referral vet centres in Europe gave her a few months to live. Several days later though they carried out more investigations and it was found that she was suffering from a such a rare heart condition that the top cardiologist professor at this referral vets had only seen it once in his life. She was put on a medication and after several visits and stays at this referral vets, over several weeks, the new medication worked! Her heart shrank back down to normal size and normal function. The vet said hopefully with being on this medication for life she can live a long and happy life. And here we are several years later, she's still doing great on her meds.

Kira is super cheeky, very friendly and funny. She's also super smart and has worked out ways to steal food from the other cats microchip pet feeders. She loves to fall asleep under the duvet whilst purring and making biscuits. Kira formed a close bond with Monster before he passed. He taught her to be trusting and super friendly. Kira also got on very well with Toffee and gets on very well with Jazzman and basically all of the cats in the house! She’s a gentle cat and likes to slob on the floor.
